  Nice stay but bit spooky at night time

  Liked: Very quiet place. Nice and cosy inside.

  Disliked: No kettle! No lights outside. Issue with hot water. No road signs at all for the location and property.

  We loved it and had a great weekend

  Liked: Cool, comfortable and fun accommodation. Like uber posh glamping: pretty much all mod cons. Semi splendid isolation with stunning views. Comfy bed. Plenty of hot water. Good WiFi. If you don’t mind walking a bit (30mins/2.5km) it’s close enough to walk into town for dinner. Nearest town is Teguise which is absolutely charming and has nice shops and restaurants.

  Disliked: The shower cubicle is very small. Fine for me at 160cm but not for my 180cm husband. Would have liked better pillows. The walk into town is down unlit dirt tracks… bring a torch! Our little hire car coped but it really is down tiny dirt tracks.

  Last-minute cancellation left us frustrated and scrambling for another place

  Liked: We booked this accommodation because of its unique facilities and we were especially looking forward to seeing the starry sky up close.

  Disliked: Unfortunately our reservation, which we had booked and paid for a month in advance, was canceled at the last minute while we were already on our way. We were traveling with just our backpacks, so our options were naturally limited. Six hours before check-in we got a message saying the stay had to be canceled because of approaching bad weather. There were no other accommodations nearby and prices were high, so we had to book a different place for an extra 50 euros. Luckily we were reimbursed for that amount two weeks later and fortunately we could cover the cost ourselves. We are sure the original stay would have been amazing, but our experience with the host was really disappointing. There was no help or suggestion for another place. In the end the weather turned out fine, which made the cancellation even harder to understand.

  Liked: Very unique property. Quiet and private location with amazing views. Felt very comfortable and relaxed. The kitchen and bathroom are excellent by regular standards, to have these modern and clean facilities inside what is basically a large tent is incredible. Make sure you set an alarm to wake up in the night to go outside and enjoy the stars.
