  Great location, wonderful host but little things let this property down

  Liked: Beautiful location with amazing views down to Famara. Elke is a great host.

  Disliked: 1. Mainly that the kitchen is in a separate building. It was private for our use only but food/drink has to be carried out across a small courtyard to our apartment where the dining table is. 2. Hot water took a long time to arrive in the shower and other taps and one morning we had none. Also shower fitting need fixings it is almost hanging off the wall. 3. It was cold when we arrived and there is only one gas heater to cover 4 rooms, and it was temperamental and unreliable.

  A hidden gem

  Liked: The apartment Margo was spacious and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The pool was a great added value — we enjoyed it almost every day. The location was perfect for us, as we love this part of the island. It’s very close to Famara, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants and a relaxed surfer/hippie vibe. We also really enjoyed chatting with Elke, the owner, who is there every morning, and our daughter absolutely fell in love with her dog, Thor.

  Disliked: We would have liked an oven in the kitchen, though there is a barbecue available if you want to grill. Our room was the only one without a sea view, which was a bit disappointing, but we still managed to enjoy the view from the roof or the pool area. We would definitely come back, but next time, we'd try to choose an apartment with a sea view because it’s truly spectacular.
