What is Illetas?
Illetas, or Ses Illetes, is a residential seaside area in the municipality of Calvià, south-west of Palma. It has small beaches and coves with clear water facing a few islets, and hotels with views over the bay.
Getting there
It is about 8 km from central Palma, with buses taking around 20 minutes. By car you take the motorway towards Andratx, and the airport is about 20 minutes away.
When rooms are hardest to find
From June to September, especially in July and August. In winter some hotels close or reduce their rooms.
Which area to choose
Almost all the hotels in Illetas face the sea, many of them upmarket. If you want more choice and lower prices, Cala Major, between Illetas and Palma, and Palmanova, further west, have more hotels a few minutes away.
