Private apartments with a lovely pool

Liked: Its good. You get an apartment with the specified number of bedrooms. It has wifi (mostly*) and a good living space to hang out. The kitchen is very useful and worked as expected. The beds were good, and our little outdoor space was pleasant for reading and eating in. The pool is why you are here, and it was pretty good - the larger outdoor ones were warm enough at the end of October, and were not at all busy - whilst the smaller heated pool was comfy even in the shade. The on-site restaurant was pretty good. The local area is quite pretty for a walk and there is a tiny supermarket that services for basic needs.

Disliked: The location isn't great - there is no local beach (the one at the end of the river is sad and had rubbish in when we visited), and the local restaurants were also not great (very few vegetarian options, food was "just fine"). A 25-30 minute walk takes you to a serviceable little beach and a few extra restaurants, but really to enjoy the island you need a car, and even that is a bit stressful (no obviously good beach with a public toilet and parking). The pool was starting to look just a little shabby - I guess its hard to replace the tiles as they fail - and is the only place to be, except the apartment. The wifi randomly didn't work for 24 hours.

Lovely spacious 2 storey apartment with all mod cons, less than a minutes walk to the pool and bar

    Liked: Breakfast was not included

    Disliked: Nothing

    We would stay again

Liked: Clean, well presented and good location. Swimming pool was good and warm but needed a little maintenance

Disliked: Apartment was clean, but bigger towels and better bed sheets. Optional welcome pack would have been a nice

Nice family break, but could have been better

Liked: Our apartment itself was lovely & spacious. Our hosts communication was fantastic, both before arrival & on arrival, meeting to give keys etc. We could message & check anything getting responses straight away. The apartment was exceptionally well equipped, makes holidaying that bit easier. Towels, pool towels are both provided along with a huge array of cooking utensils if you needed them. A washing machine & the kitchen even had a dishwasher if you wanted to use it. There’s dishwasher tablets, cloths, washing up liquid all provided. Both bathrooms had hairdryers. Lots of storage. Loved the private terrace, that was lovely & big & not over looked. Some on the complex don’t have the privacy so that was a definite huge bonus for us. Only two loungers though, but a large table & six chairs to enjoy the space & sit with a bite to eat., a glass of wine. Bedrooms were all of a good size, 3 nice large double beds & comfortable furnishings. A huge bonus was the poolside bar. They serve great meals at good prices. The cocktails & drinks are great too & staff all really friendly. Nice looking & super clean kitchen area. Very impressed. There’s a couple of mini shops at the top of the hill, 5/10mins walk from our apartments location that are well stocked to keep you with supplies.

Disliked: Unfortunately a few things were disappointing. The location wasn’t for us - probably our own fault for not researching the location better. The guide of how close bars/restaurants locally listed we didn’t agree with. It’s in a very quiet remote area of Adeje, not the usual busier vibe we’re used too. There’s also as a long, very steep hill to navigate, lots of steps down & up again across a small beach to get to the very small area locally to explore restaurants. We were having to get taxi’s to other places on an evening that suited us better. If you’re happy to stay in the apartment, cook & enjoy a quieter evening than it’s perfect. Or if you’re happy to drive, again not a problem. You even have your own allocated car parking space. Our apartment could definitely have been cleaner. The airvents are thick with built up dust. There’s a big lack of ventilation in the basement rooms, one tiny screened off window high up in the bedroom. No ventilation in the bathroom, meaning there’s mould, damaged tiles, clear ventilation issues. The whole unit needs a serious deep clean. Its got the potential to be 10/10 just needs a few tweeks & as mentioned, a deep thorough clean. We’re not entirely sure how clean the air-conditioning unit is either ad thats also thick with dust. The steps down to the bedroom in the basement were pretty dangerous. They’re tiled in very dark tiles, it’s really hard to navigate them unless the spot light was on them at all times. Similarly using the bathroom downstairs on an evening. You can’t see the bathroom without the light on, so many times we’ve walked into furniture, the corner of the bed during the night as trying not to disturb each other putting lights on. The complex itself is tired & lacking maintenance. The pool areas never seemed to get cleaned, every day the same mucky floors, sunloungers not tidied away. Were used to complexes having these two basic things done daily - again, could be an us issue.

Underwhelmed on this occasion. Hopefully we come back and have a more enjoyable stay next time

Liked: We have been here 3 times now, we like the complex the pool bar is good and facilities are all we need on a holiday. The family enjoy it every time we come on holiday here.

Disliked: As mentioned this is our 3rd stay here, this was by far our worst experience to date. The host was not great. Upon arriving at 10:15pm she decided to charge us an extra 40 euros which we felt was unfair considering we got there as quick as we could with 3 kids and we have visited on a couple of other occasions. We came back to the room on one of the days there was water all over the floor where the AC unit started leaking although this was quickly repaired on the same day. One of the toilet seats were broken on arrival, the morning after arriving I made the host aware but this took about 5 or 6 days for someone to fix, the host tried to accuse us of breaking it her text read "Considering it was fine before you arrived" we absolutely did not break this. My daughter was adamant she saw a ghost a young boy running through the front room and into the kids bedroom this was very strange. We felt we should have been made aware of the exact apartment and location before we arrived as we have 3 young kids and had to get up 2 flights of stairs just to get into our apartment with a baby in the buggy and we were right at the bottom end of the complex. We ultimately love coming here but left feeling a bit frustrated on this occasion, we felt it was necessary to share all the above with you.
