Very good
Quiet stay in a magical small cottage
Liked: We stayed in a charming small cottage in Finca El Lance. It was well equipped, even had a fireplace. Quiet place with a beautiful garden and many places to sit outside and enjoy the views.
Disliked: The wi-fi is quite weak.
Little paradise
Liked: Tranquil but not isolated. Great ocean view. Hiking opportunities. Beautiful garden setting. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Exceeding our expectations. Looking forward to come back.
Exceptional
Liked: Relaxing spacious surroundings inside and out. Comfy beds, slept fantastically every night. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Slightly quirky set up but the kitchen table is great for group eating or games. Friendly, available hosts but not overbearing.
Disliked: Although comfy, due to the room layouts, getting in and out of the beds was a little awkward. Wifi isn't great and the tv would be better on a bracket rather than fixed to the wall, however we didn't choose to stay at Finca El Lance for the wifi and tv
General feeling was like I had when I was visiting my grandparents in country house when I was a kid
Liked: Villa is nicely located in mountains. You will have a nice sea view right from your dinning table. There is nice territory around villa so kids can run a bit chasing lizards. Adults can find a nice spot for reading and having a glass of wine while enjoying awesome view. Good thing for us (we don't like hot temperatures) was comfort temperature that is 5-7 degrees lower then temperature by the beach. It takes about 25 minutes to get to beach by car. Closest supermarket is about 15 minutes walk from villa. But you have to climb quite a steep hill to get there. General feeling was like I had when I was visiting my grandparents in country house when I was a kid: Everything is nice and cozy although everything is a bit "countryhouse-styled" e.g. old TV that has no HDMI input. As my kids got cold for several days we had to stay home for a while. But I don't feel that I lost that time as we could always find cozy place to read and think in quiet, make BBQ or fire nice fireplace. There is a washing machine and full set of kitchen equipment in the villa. One more thing worth mentioning: You should not rely on local WIFI. It works but it is super-slow. So forget of Netflix and YouTube for a while. On the other hand mobile internet is more or less stable around.
