  Great place to stay

  Liked: Great location. The perfect place for those who want to escape the crowded tourist areas.

  Liked: The hosts came each morning with a basket of fresh, hot bread and pastries and other assorted breakfast items, and the fridge was pre-stocked with necessities. The view was breathtaking, and a lovely hiking trail through the mountains began immediately from the property. Watching the mists through the valleys was a delight. Our son (5) also loved that they had a donkey and chickens on the property <3

  Disliked: The queen bed was a bit small/unsupportive for 2 adults who are used to bigger, more firm beds.

  Peak Experience

  Liked: This is the perfect location for any family or couple looking to have a very different experience than what you would expect from Tenerife. Up in the mountains, above the clouds, you get to see a beautiful landscape with marked walking paths from the apartment. Much to do on the grounds themselves, including a small pool, a nice donkey, and a nice chillout area. Freshly baked and delicious pastries are brought in the morning.

  Disliked: Hard to criticize anything about this place. We were in December, so you have to be ready to be a bit cold - not something you expect when going to the Canary Islands, but it is up the mountains after all. Important to note that the road was paved but tricky, especially in the dark. Better to get there when there is still light and the mountain curves look less ominous. So - get there early, and dress well.:)

  Absolute perfection

  Liked: Excellent location, rural and quiet, yet all facilities are available and a short drive from both the mountains and the beach. The family that owns this business is extremely welcoming, helpful and kind! The place was spotless, and the breakfast was lovely. Would have stayed longer if we could:)

  Exclusive location, spectacular views and modern comfort

  Liked: Exclusive location with spectacular views, and modern comfort: La Casita de Tila has it all! The house has a balcony accessible from the kitchen and a separate area with hammocks, a pool with mountain views and many walking paths departing directly from it. Equipement/decoration are recent and of high standard. Very nice owner, we were greeted with a large welcome pack with excellent local produce (fruit, cheese, honey, jam, peanuts, biscuits etc) and two bottles of wine. Breakfast was delivered to our door, with homemade pastries. The house is quite isolated but we tried the local restaurant (20 min walk) on the owners recommendation and it was great. The friendly house donkey is a plus if you like animals.:-) Unfortunately we decided to shorten our stay due to poor weather but we would love to come back on a nicer week.

  Disliked: My only comment is that the bed could be wider (160 instead of 140 cm) as there is space in the room.
