Liked: The staff was very professional and prompt. The apartment location and facility are very good and the view is amazing.

Disliked: Parking is a problem. The streets are full most of the days and you need to circle around to find a spot.

The visit that had plenty of positives, but unfortunately felt noticeably different from the experiences we’ve had here

Liked: We’ve been coming here for years and always enjoy our stays. The reception staff, especially Lewis, were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and most of the restaurant staff were amazing too. The rooms are looking tired but they do the job perfectly as we mainly use them for sleeping. The view from the room, however, is absolutely incredible and really makes the stay worthwhile. Overall, a great place that we’re always happy to come back to!

Disliked: You can definitely tell that the hotel is changing, and unfortunately not all of those changes have been positive. Over the years, we’ve noticed more and more people who aren’t staying at the hotel coming in to use the pool, which has made it feel much busier. The food is very basic, and personally we wouldn’t eat in the restaurant other than using the snack menu. Most of the restaurant staff have always been lovely, but unfortunately our experience with one of the newer members of staff, a man with tattoos, wasn’t great. He repeatedly got our order wrong and, when we pointed this out, would pull a face and was quite rude to us. What made it even more disappointing was that he then moved over to the next table, who were Spanish, and was suddenly smiling, friendly and even gave them a free ice cream. We found the difference in treatment quite noticeable and very unprofessional. The lifeguard situation was also disappointing. They often seemed more focused on their phones than paying attention to the pool. On one occasion, one lifeguard left for around 40 minutes while the green flag was still up. We also found that the other lifeguard would ask us to take our floats out around 10 minutes before we were supposed to, and this happened every day. It’s a shame to mention these things because we’ve been coming here for years and have always enjoyed our stays. There are still plenty of positives, especially the helpful reception staff like Louis, most of the restaurant staff, and the incredible views from the rooms. However, we do feel that the hotel has changed quite a lot over time and, unfortunately, not necessarily for the better.
