Good
Sensational Views, lovely host and home away from home vibe!
Liked: The view!! Sensational! The host is super lovely and the room was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need to cook at home but there is yummy pizza just down the road. Complimentary tea and coffee pods was a nice touch. Bonus getting to meet Lady the chocolate lab as we were missing our own dog at home. There are regular trains passing just behind the house but they are surprisingly fast and quiet which didn’t bother us at all. These few days were a highlight of our trip and we all wished we had stayed just a little longer.
Disliked: While it is super close to the train station, the walk to get there is practically vertical! The views are worth the calf work out but less mobile people might struggle.
Liked: The view was fantastic and the room looked very nice.
Stunning views!
Liked: The property was in a great location with fabulous views. The host Claudine is very welcoming and friendly and gave us very helpful information about the area. We stayed in a very spacious room with a balcony and lake view - plenty of space for a family of four including two teenagers. We shared a bathroom with one other double room which worked out fine and also had shared use of the kitchen. There is also a garden and it was very pleasant to have drinks there in the evening and watch the sun set. Claudine has a dog, 2 cats and a tortoise whom my daughter loved interacting with. The property is situated up a steep hill and quite a few steps but is really close to the station and anyone of average fitness should be fine, we managed it with our big interrailing back packs. We loved our stay in Montreux - highlights swimming in the lake, hiring a boat on the lake, train up to Rochers - de -Naye (although sadly no marmots) and visiting the Charlie Chaplin Museum. If we are lucky enough to go back to Montreux we would definitely stay at Claudine's place again.
Liked: The view was amazing, Claudine was so kind and responsive. Really enjoyed our stay at her apartment.
Disliked: A lot of steps
Beautiful apartment in a great location
Liked: Lovely apartment just a few minutes walk from the train station and central area. Very comfortable single and double bedrooms.
Disliked: The ladder to the mezzanine floor is for fit people only, but the mezzanine bedroom is otherwise comfortable.
overall not a great place to staty
Liked: Very nice lake view
Disliked: too many stairs to get into the apartment, that was the only means to get in, it was very hard with luggage. There was no attached bath and it was shared bath.
