  A clean, well-equipped option for a short stay, with a kind and helpful host

  Liked: The owner was very helpful and quick to respond, including sending clear suggestions and photos when I needed directions to Montreux station. The property was clean, with fresh sheets, a very clean bathroom and everything we needed for a one-night stay. It is small and older, as described, and the price felt fair.

  Disliked: It would be helpful to receive a location pin on arrival day. The property is a 10-15 minute uphill walk from the nearest bus stop and we had some trouble finding it. Fortunately, some kind locals helped us get there and we are very grateful to them.

  Lovely family home woth all the comforts!

  Liked: Very comfy bed and everything you need for a weekend visit!

  Disliked: Just be prepared to climb to get to the location, it's a lot of stairs from the train station.

  Liked: No stairs

  Disliked: Not recommend if you are not coming with a car (The house is on the hill, and you have to walk at least 20 minutes from the nearest station) The check-in time is late. We arrive at 3 p.m. punctually, but the house is not ready. The cleaners came at 6 p.m., and we have to wait 2 hours at the door to wait for the cleaning work.

  Disliked: everything, dirty, mould, exposed insulation, rude owners, told us not to strip the beds, does the bedding get washed? overcharged on tourist tax. dirty plates, no kitchen. told us to hoover up and wash everything, so far from centre. mysterious brown stains on the bed and orange stains on towel. paper thin walls. people above banging at all hours. asked owner where the kitchen was and sent a smiley face emoji and said we don’t need one.

  Cosy accommodation with fantastic views walking down into Montreux town centre - see photos. Good value for money

  Liked: A cosy, ground-floor apartment that was clean and well kept. If you don’t have a car, there’s a bus that takes you close to the property, though anyone reasonably fit can enjoy the 15-minute uphill walk from Montreux Train Station. The views over Lake Geneva, the mountains, and Montreux on the walk down to town were stunning. It’s excellent value for money in an area where accommodation can be quite pricey. We stayed for two nights, and I’d happily return if I’m ever in the area again.

  Disliked: Cooking facilities are basic but more than adequate for a short stay.
