Fabulous
The castle can be seen from the panorama train
Liked: We had comfortable two nights, and the view from the terrace was great. Parking was no problem.
Really enjoyed our time there and hope to be back sometime
Liked: Beautiful old castle with stunning views out over the lake. The room was clean and comfortable. Extra linen was available in the wash rooms. Outside seating is available on the terraces overlooking the view. The atmosphere is very peaceful.
Disliked: The sleeper couch in our room was not very comfortable for two adults for the 4 nights we were there. More suitable for children. The main bed was very comfortable.

Disliked: There is no direct Lake View as advertised. The description is misleading. Nowhere in the apartment you can have the view on the lake: you just see the back court of the castle. You have to get out of the apartment, walk for 20 m and then you have the view on the lake. I find this description is not honest and I would not have chosen this room if I had known.

Liked: Beautiful castle with modern appliances.
Disliked: A tree had fallen during a storm at night. It looked scary but we were safe.
Beautiful but no air conditioning
Liked: Loved the history of the chateau chatelard and its location with views of lake Genève and the cows nearby
Disliked: Although I understand it’s an ancient building a heat pump to provide cooling would elevate the entire experience to another level: the shower rod was also very fragile looking and ineffective at keeping the water inside the tub area: à clothes drying rack would have been a great addition as well: we left 2 days early because of the heat in the building
Castle Experience
Liked: We had an excellent stay in a great environment in this mysterious, beautiful castle. Once in a lifetime experience. It was clean, comfortable and interesting.
Disliked: No stuff, not easy to check in, when we ask questions they are replied the day after and now we don’t know how to check out. The curtain in the bathroom was not installed correctly and fell on our head. Luckily nothing bad happened.
