Liked: It was a nice stay, however slight mix up at the desk, but quickly resolved. Room was nice and tidy, only one complain was there was a cigarette dout next to the kettle, however it was all clean, that was the only disappointment about the experience, so all in all a very nice stay.

Good value for money, great location

Liked: Great location within in a few minutes walk of the train station and right next to Union Street. With that comes noise however. It recommend asking for a room facing away from the street. Had an awful nights sleep due to drunks fighting and traffic. Not the fault of the hotel however. Room was clean but tired. Wall paper is torn and the carpet is stained, but I didn’t affect my stay. The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was excellent. Lovely modern and hot shower with towels and toiletries provided. The only feedback that I can give that the hotel can change is the lighting situation. Having to have the huge ceiling light on at night is too much. Perhaps look at some ambient lighting / lamps. Also, not a single plug socket anywhere near the bed. I can’t understand why? The ones behind the beside tables are special round sockets and not useable. It would be so easy to change these! I use my phone as my alarm so need to charge it overnight. I thought it a bit mean that I wasn’t allowed my room when I arrived at 2:30pm too, given that the key cards for arriving guests were already done behind the desk. I’d been travelling all day and it would have been a nice gesture. I had to wait outside for 30 mins. All in all a pleasant stay and I’d be happy to stay here again without a problem and very reasonable on price too.

Liked: Staff were efficient and helpful. Good central location and competitive price. However, for a 4* hotel, it is very run down. Curtains in the room faling down, old decor, tired looking. All a bit stale. Breakfast was decent, but no hot plates to keep cooked breakfast warm, so expect it to be luke warm or cold.
