Top class stay & service as always. Will always be my first choice when I have anything planned in Aberdeen

Liked: Location and lovely rooms. Also the domestic was very friendly and chatty.

Disliked: Our neighbor shouted, swore & banged very loudly on the wall at 10pm when we arrived back to our room. My mum and I were alarmed. We were just having a cup of tea and chatting before bed.

Room downgraded but we were not informed, and no partial refund

Liked: Great Location. Rooms are clean. Easy access to room.

Disliked: We paid for a Deluxe double room. When we arrived we had been allocated a standard twin room. It's a self service hotel where you get your room allocation by email and they tell you the code to a keybox at check in time. We were not forewarned that our room had been downgraded until we got the key and opened the door when we arrived in the evening. I called the hotel number and spoke to Michael who did apologise but told me they had no other rooms and there was nothing they could do. He offered breakfast at the cafe downstairs in the morning, but this was already included anyway. I would have expected a partial refund at the very least for the lesser room! Contacted booking.com to address this issue, but they "couldn't reach a resolution with the hotel". It's a shame, because the hotel was otherwise good. Easy to get to, good central location, well presented rooms, just not the room we paid for.

Disliked: Communication around check-in could have been better. We were told that check-in was available from 14:00 and that the access instructions would arrive beforehand. By 14:45, we still hadn’t received them and had to follow up. We were then told they would be sent when the room was ready. Our phone call went unanswered, and we left a voicemail but received no callback. The instructions arrived about 15 minutes later. A message letting us know about the delay would have helped us plan our afternoon.

Good stay in a great location

Liked: The room was one of the largest we stayed in during our trip to Scotland. The hotel’s location is excellent—right in the city center—with easy access from the central station and numerous bus lines. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. In fact, the room was so spacious that we felt it was a shame there wasn't a seating area with a table facing the TV; that would have been great, and there was certainly room for it. The housekeeper we met was very nice!

Disliked: It is recommended to install a safe in the room. The entrance is shared by several businesses.
