Well provisioned self catering guest house

Liked: We liked being able to cater for ourselves and the provision of breakfast things, fruit, oil, salt, pepper and cling film (very useful for wrapping our picnic sandwiches). The towels were fairly soft. There was plenty of toilet paper and shower gel provided. The layout, with a sitting room and kitchen with dining table was great. The sitting room was comfortable. There was outside seating, which would have been nice in better weather! It was easy to get the bus or walk into the city centre. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of space in the fridge-freezer to store groceries.

Disliked: The tea towels could have been changed daily. There were lots of toast crumbs under the tupperware container with pasta in. The inside of the microwave was unpleasant. After 2 nights, black mould was visible in a corner of our room. There was also mould on the blind in our room. Keeping an attic room with a single glazed velux type window with a wooden frame properly ventilated is difficult. I opened the ventilation strip on the window open during the day to help the room breathe. The television in our room has lost contact with the WiFi, so no digital reception. The owner said that they would look at it. They didn't reply to say if they had it what the issue was. I didn't want to watch the television then until my fourth and last night there. Unfortunately the WiFi had gone down so I never got to experience the television working. In a house with a smart thermostat, no WiFi was a problem on the first floor. Thankfully in the attic, the second floor, electric radiators were provided.
