Fabulous
Hotel over rated for the price of a room
Liked: Good location
Disliked: On arrival room was not cleaned properly and the toilet had not been cleaned from previous guests- horrendous
Great food, clean room, spacious great venue
Liked: Great time
Disliked: Nothing
Not what you expect from a hilton
Liked: Girl on the front desk. Amazing service.
Disliked: Beautiful hotel and exceptional reception service, but a disappointing early check-in experience. The Hilton Belfast is a beautiful hotel with a lovely bar and restaurant. Our room was clean, modern and well maintained, and the bed itself was very comfortable. The standout was the woman at reception who looked after us at both check-in and check-out. She was fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable and probably the best person I’ve dealt with at a hotel reception. A real credit to the hotel. Unfortunately, the early check-in experience left a sour taste. I was visiting Belfast for work and arrived around 11 a.m. on Friday with my partner, who was accompanying me for the day. As I would be working in the city centre all day, getting access to the room early was an important part of choosing where to stay. I called a couple of days beforehand and was told I could check in early if a room was available. There was no mention of a £30 charge. That reassurance was a deciding factor in booking, so arriving to find the room ready but still having to pay an additional £30 was disappointing. I understand hotels have standard check-in times, but I don’t agree with charging extra when the room is already ready and available. At the very least, that charge should have been clearly explained when I specifically called to ask. The other letdown was the pillows, which were among the worst I’ve ever slept on. For a hotel with otherwise comfortable rooms and good facilities, they were surprisingly poor. I’ll be travelling to Belfast weekly and was hoping to find a hotel I could rely on regularly. Despite the lovely surroundings and outstanding receptionist, I’m unlikely to choose the Hilton again. I’ll be looking for somewhere that offers complimentary early check-in when a room is available, with hopefully a better night’s sleep too.
Liked: Hotel was clean and close to waterfront hall
Disliked: The staff was a sharp and rude qhen i phoned up to pay
Very nice place
Liked: Great location
Disliked: Parking for check in
Very central impressive hotel in the heart of Belfast without the hype
Liked: Welcome and check in was Great - Connor was super helpful and welcoming in every way and helpful with our queries
Disliked: Breakfast was really good with very friendly staff - and the room itself is impressive and very clean. There could have been a few more surprising elements that I have seen at other hotels - maybe a pancake omelette station perhaps
