Pretty standard, utilitarian hotel with space-shuttle-esque bathroom pods

Liked: Ibis Belfast is a fairly utilitarian, chain-style hotel. Staffing is minimal but the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was modestly sized and clean. Breakfast in the morning was good with standard buffet options. Access to the elevators was behind a key card system, which seemed to add security. I liked the bare wood floor (my mom didn't - I guess this is a matter of preference). We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station (maybe 15 minutes) and there were some restaurant options in the neighborhood, though I wouldn't call the area particularly friendly.

Disliked: We had a twin room and the beds were quite narrow. The room faced an inner courtyard so although we had a window, there was no view (seemed to look toward an apartment building) and little sunlight coming in. Our biggest dislike was the bathroom. It felt like a space pod inserted into the room. Literally. It was this all white, plastic pod that you step up into from the room. It felt like you entered some kind of space shuttle. It also felt less sturdy somehow than the rest of the room. I don't quite know how to describe this except it was weird.

Liked: A well situated hotel with friendly helpful staff

Disliked: The toilet in the shower pod, was in need of a good clean. And the bed was a little hard for me.
