    Too small, too dirty

Liked: Friendly staff, beautiful building, great location

Disliked: The room was exceptionally dirty. Apart from the worn-out carpet, there were breadcrumbs, human nails, a battery and other bits of rubbish. But the most disturbing thing was something next to the bed that looked like either a piece of clothing or a black bin bag. I didn't dare check what it actually was. Hair in the bathroom, and the wardrobe door wouldn't close properly and was hanging off at an angle. The bathroom extractor fan was so ridiculously loud that I eventually did everything by the light of my phone's flashlight because I genuinely felt it could be heard two floors up. After 10 pm, there were children constantly running around the floor. The bathroom was too small, and i couldn't even sit on the toilet properly. Everything in the room seemed to have been put there just for the sake of having it, with absolutely no consideration for whether it was actually practical or comfortable to use.

In all, our stay was comfortable, room was large, staff were friendly. We'd stay again

Liked: The size if the family room was excellent! There was ample room for the 4 adults to move around without tripping over each other. The room was lovely and warm, especially needed in October and when there is a storm! Breakfast was plentiful and had ample to choose from

Disliked: Because of the bad weather and storm Boelo, the window in our family room was leaking, and because a single bed was laid up against the window, it had leaked into the bed and sheets. Reception staff were informed, but no-one had come to rectify it, so two adults had to share a single bed! This was not something that should have had to happen, so very disappointed with that. Car park spaces- We had to pay for a 2 night car park space, but struggled to actually find a car park space on the Saturday night after moving car for dance comp. Having allocated car park spots for rooms would be handy so you know you actually have a spot to come back too when moving your car. Making the cost for parking cheaper than £14 per night would also be well recieved. Especially for dance competitors who have to travel in their car to the Winter Gardens with their costumes and such. Especially as they have to pay extortionate prices to park hourly their too!!
