Pleasant
Liked: Good location. But it was difficult to locate. We went to the abandoned place close by before we eventually located where it was.
Disliked: The bed lamps were not working. All 3 of them.
Liked: Very welcoming. Very impressed at breakfast. The polish waitress couldn't do enough for us. My boy was made up with the extra hash brown.
Disliked: My bed was soft. Not an issue just personal preference.
Liked: The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Cleanliness in the rooms wasn't marvellous, but small changes could fix this.

Disliked: Absolutely horrendous – avoid this hotel! We stayed at Hotel Laguna in Bournemouth as a family of 2 adults and 6 children, and the experience was absolutely appalling from start to finish. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. As soon as we walked into reception to check in, we were hit by a really strong smell of cigarette smoke. We were then shown to our family rooms, which were located in an outbuilding. The moment we walked in, there was an overwhelming smell of mould and damp, so strong that it started affecting members of our family who suffer from asthma. The condition of the rooms was absolutely disgusting. The mattresses had what appeared to be blood or urine stains on them. There was hair in the shower, on the toilet, in the cups and all over the floor. The furniture was covered in dirt and dust, there were dirty marks on the bed sheets and covers, and there was mould inside the drawers. To make matters worse, there was urine on the toilet and the bin next to it, rubbish left on the floors, and pins sticking out of the curtains, which was particularly concerning with six children in our family. The fire alarm was also hanging off the ceiling, raising serious concerns about safety. The overall lack of cleanliness and maintenance was shocking. This was not just a case of a room needing a little attention; the conditions were completely unacceptable, particularly for a family with young children and family members with asthma. We were absolutely horrified by what we found. No family should have to walk into accommodation in this condition, especially when cleanliness, hygiene and safety should be basic standards. I would strongly advise other families to think twice before booking this hotel. Based on our experience, we would definitely not return. Please be aware of the conditions before you consider staying here. Absolutely horrendous. Definitely not recommended – stay well clear!
