    Great place to stay

Liked: Room was very spacious and clean, lovely property with a great breakfast. Seamless check in and out and everything was really good, shower was slightly under powered but it is an old property and it did the job.

    Nostalgic

Liked: Loved the history and romance of the place. Stayed in the 'Oscar Wilde' room. Enjoyed the artwork and artifacts. Also liked the complimentary tea/coffee/water/Biscoffi available. The bar across the road was an intimate affair with other guests. Breakfast was excellent. Nice buffet and hot choices. Waitress was very welcoming.

Disliked: Personally.....the room was a little cold for my liking. If I was staying longer than x1 night, I'd have asked for heating to be boosted. I'm sure they'd have obliged.

Terrible, cold and the rooms falling apart

Liked: It’s a loverly building but it’s falling apart

Disliked: The room was falling apart, a window fell out when I closed the balcony door, the tv in bath room didn’t work, the jacuzzi bath worked when it wanted to, the sink tap sprays you when using it, no heating working in the room, the bath took 14 working days to run also

Liked: Character of the room: fireplace, chandelier, four poster, high ceiling

Disliked: Dirty carpet, TV in lounge did not work and was plugged into a round extension cable, TV over Jacuzzi did not work, water pressure too low to fill Jacuzzi so could not use, broken chairs, cupboard with tea/coffee on was marked/backless, hotel was tired and neglected, semi permanent resident was a smoker, smoke could be smelt in the hotel, hotel unmanned, code given for entry to hotel and room but could not be used until 3pm, breakfast served in sister hotel across the road, hotel being slightly refurbished with painter on site. Booked for special ocassion, pictures misleading, very disappointed.
