    No one cared

Liked: The location was good. The bedroom was on ground floor. Mattress was comfortable.

Disliked: The bedroom was very basic. The ensuite was still in the 1980s very tired looking. Didn't want to use the shower good job we only stayed for 2 nights. If you needed to exfoliate than the towels would of been ideal., they were rock hard and so so rough think they were washed in starch and hung out to dry. No heating at all though out the building apart from a small radiator that was in the bedroom. The toilet in the ensuite was filthy it was stained from years of piddle. Couldn't even clean it there was no toilet brush to be seen. I sat on the toilet and looked around and l couldn't believe how the staff had allowed this bedroom to be rented out in this standard. No kettle in the bedroom you had to go in the lounge to make a tea or coffee. My husband is a diabetic they didn't have sweetener only sugar. The milk had run out in early evening, tried to find a member of staff seriously think they had all gone home and left us to it, so we didn't have milk for the evening 😕, didn't see or get any milk until 8.30 am when a member of staff turned up to top up in the lounge.. The carpet in the building hadn't been hoovered for days, and yet when we turned up the staff member was putting up things for Halloween she didn't need any help with the cobwebs. The carpet was threadbare though out the reception, lounge and our bedroom. It was so dusty in the reception area and lounge l actually wrote on the sideboard and glass table in the lounge (clean me ) It really beckons believe how everyone in that building thought that, it was fine to charge people the money up front at booking and to deliver that standard it was shameful. To be quite honest it was the pits and taking the p.... When money is short for everyone concerned it was disappointing we had travelled up from Cornwall and had that to contend with. I would of put up with the basic of the hotel but the standard of the cleaning and hygiene of the ensuite was appalling.
