Good
Perfect for a short break
Liked: The lady at the reception is a gem, very nice. The hotel it is not new and you can see on the decor, wall, carpet but is it clean. Location is perfect.
Disliked: It did not bother me much but: -mattress is soft -plates at breakfast, should be carried out on a tray and not carried out from kitchen by hand. At least, use a cloth. Fingers on a plate are not nice.
Liked: Friendly helpful staff. Liked being on the 1st floor, as easy to get to bar and exit, as lift quite slow. Room big and spacious, with lots of storage. Great location for the BIC venue, which we were attending.
Disliked: Bathroom could do with updating. Shower in bath, would prefer a cubicle. Trouble getting the water temperature to suit. But as only staying one night we managed..
A brilliant hotel and the staff were so attentive
Liked: It was in walking distance of the theatre, shops and beach

Ideal location if you want to be in the centre of town. Family room not as advertised. Hotel needs some work
Liked: Location was perfect for what we needed. Room was big
Disliked: Receptionist when we arrived seemed like he couldn’t be bothered. We found him rude and abrupt. There was no hairdryer, which it was stated as having. We put our toiletries on the glass shelf in the bathroom and they all fell off into the sink as the shelf is not fitted straight. The window in the bathroom didn’t shut properly. There was no bath as advertised which wasn’t a problem for us, but was for the kids. Cracked and wobbly tiles in the bathroom
Liked: Location to the venue. Staff friendly and room ideal for our overnight stay, just a shame that the bar closed at 2100, a night cap before bed would have been nice. Good choice for breakfast both hot and cold.
Excellent staff and great location for all that Bournemouth has to offer
Liked: My friend and I were given a superior sea view room which was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.
Disliked: The breakfast was good but we thought quite expensive.

Please note The Hermitage Hotel does not have any leisure facilities on site. Our guests are welcome to use the facilities at our sister property, the Suncliff Hotel, which include a heated indoor pool, sauna, and mini gym. These are located a short walk from the property.
Please note that this property cannot accommodate hen and stag parties. Internet is not always available at the hotel. Please inquire upon arrival.
If dinner is not requested upon booking, then there will be an extra charge in addition to the stated amount.
Please note that onsite parking is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis and chargeable at GBP 14 per car per night. It is not possible to reserve parking prior to arrival. There are also several public car parks nearby as well.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot or crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by Central Reservations. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
For all payments made and booking types, the card holder must be present on check-in, and the same card must be presented for a security swipe via chip and pin on arrival. Failure to provide the same card will result in the payment being refunded to the original card, and an alternative payment method requested before check-in will be permitted. The property reserves the right to charge bookings in full up to 48 hours prior to arrival during weekends and peak times, regardless of reservation policies.
Please note that the property can only accommodate dogs with a maximum weight of 10 kg or less.

Please note that dogs will incur an additional charge of GBP 20 per day per dog.
As a matter of courtesy to other guests, dogs are only allowed in certain outdoor public areas at the hotel, mainly because food is served throughout our bars, lounges, restaurants, and terrace areas.

A pet bond must be signed at check-in, along with a GBP 50 refundable deposit. Any damage, soiling, or excessive dog hair on soft furnishings will incur specialist cleaning charges.
Please note that this property can accommodate dogs but will not accommodate other types of pets. Guide and assistance dogs are exempt from this policy, and charges for providing the correct certificate or paperwork are provided on check-in.
The hotel elevator services the hotel from the ground, first and second floors. The elevator does not go to the third floor, which is serviced by a staircase on the second floor.
Guests who are unable to manage stairs should inform the hotel in advance. Our Superior Rooms and Suites have stair access only. The hotel might not have the flexibility to change rooms to meet this request upon arrival. At least one guest per room must be over 18 years of age; minors are not permitted in their own accommodations without prior consent of the hotel.
Please ensure the correct occupancies are selected on booking; failure to do so may result in your check-in being refused. Identification will be required for age verification purposes.
All bookings of 6 or more rooms booked together will be treated as group bookings as per Oceana Hotels’ policy. Group bookings will be contacted within 7 days of making the reservation and will be treated as advance purchase bookings. The full nonrefundable payment will be required within 7 days of the reservation being made; no cancelations, modifications, or refunds will be permitted for any group bookings. These group terms and conditions override any rate policy that has been booked. In case of payments not received within 7 days of the booking being made, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking without any liability or further communication.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
