Very good
Liked: Despite the somewhat crude exterior the renovated appartment was beautiful and suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen was well enough equipped to cook for our party. A regular bus connection stops near the appartment and goes directly to city center. The living space was large enough for our entire party to hang around in. Overall despite some hickups with communicating the stay was very successful and the place more than met our expectations. Very high value for price.
Disliked: There was some misunderstanding about the cleaning schedule and cleaning was taking place when we arrived. Lack of air conditioning made the appartment a bit hot in the middle of Summer, but opening windows during night cooled the place down fast for sleeping (some basic residential noise from the outside, like passing cars, might make this less of an option for lighter sleepers).
Great stay, would definitely recommend!!
Liked: 20/30 min bus journey to centre (bus stop less than 10 min walk away). Really spacious and comfortable rooms and living area. Shops and takeaways literally round the corner. Two bath towels per person, bath towel was very big. Two parking spaces behind a gate.
Disliked: There was some general wear and tear but nothing too bad. There were no tea towels or oven mitts so had to use the towels. There were no regular glasses, just mugs and a few wine glasses.
Would definitely recommend, and revisit myself if heading back to Bristol
Liked: The location was a little far out of the city centre but the value for money meant it was well worth a little extra for a cab ride. The house was clean and spacious and newly renovated and there was a good amount of storage plus all the useful items you might need including an iron, hairdryers and a washing machine. The beds were very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. There was plenty of communal space and a table big enough for all the guests to sit around.
Disliked: There were not quite enough matching glasses for even 5 guests but the rest of the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. We were not made aware before booking that we would be required to pay an additional £100 deposit for damages as we were only staying for one night, and I was also asked to provide photo ID. It was relatively easy to do though, and the full deposit was refunded within 48 hours.
Not good
Disliked: It was cold/ soulless/ without any water/ milk/ shower stuff. TV did not work - except Netflix. Bed / pillows / duvet thin and poor quality
Poor service and communication, paid for a different apartment to the one I booked
Disliked: I booked this apartment from the pictures I see on the listing but upon arrival the apartment was different to the one I booked and didn’t have enough beds for the amount of people I booked for and the sofa bed they was listed was in fact just two standard sofas - after contacting the host they could only offer me an air bed from one of other apartments which again wasn’t suitable as 3 fully grown men were staying there for work purposes. They offered me a 25% refund or I could cancel and get a full refund but this was at 6pm and would be hard to find somewhere else and of course would of had to pay again before the refund went back into the bank, so we accepted the 25% refund which we still haven’t received and have now been ignored since the stay which seems obvious that we will not be receiving this refund. Absolutely awful service
Liked: The location was perfect for us. Very clean and modern. They allowed dogs!
Disliked: Sofas were so low for us oldies to get out of.
