Good
Liked: Hood location, bus stop just outside
Disliked: Many things falling apart, dirty carpets, stains on the sofa
Liked: Close to the hospital with lots of facilities like shops food stores and cafes
Disliked: A very small bathroom which after having a knee replacement a few months ago I was unable to use the bath or shower
Liked: Location and size and you could have dogs
Disliked: It was a bit tired in places - bath plug has no chain

Disliked: Two days before I had arranged for a 2 o'clock check in. Upon arrival the key lock code was obviously wrong. I left a message on the owners phone. Before he got back to me the guest of the top floor arrived, who told me the code had changed the day before, We entered the flat and discovered it was already occupied. I phoned the owner who I suspect knew this and could not have guessed his other renter would give us the new code. To be fair he was there within five mins and claimed Booking.com had double booked. That doesn't explain why they had not prepared for us or contacted me to tell me of the error. He explained he had another flat across the road which wasn't as nice and was used by his workers. My 80 year old husband was already threatening to drive the three hours home after the cricket had finished. I therefore said as long as it's got a bed and a bathroom it will do. The flat he took us to was acceptable. At 11.30 at night there was loud banging on the door and when I answered the door there was a startled man who had come to see his friend Shelia. I was awake all night wondering who Shelia was and if she was expecting another visitor. I would demand the £20 refund for the non existent breakfast and some compensation for trauma it caused us. In addition the apartment does not have off street parking. All parking on Gloucester Road is on street parking, a bit of disinformation that meant we were a long time finding the place.
A good flat for our needs. Convenient for buses into centre. Off street parking very useful
