The Coalshed is certainly different, very clean with a unique and very special ambiance

Liked: Overall, very good location with good range of shops. We enjoyed the ‘ just out of city’ feel. A little walk in to the centre though it wasn’t too onerous.

Unusual but funky hotel with comfy rooms

Liked: Big comfortable room, the pool table and table tennis and honesty bar, lots of nice touches like the granola cereal and tea, clean, nicely decorated and helpful staff.

Disliked: Small things like the shelves and coat hooks were not very stable, no windows and limited parking.

Liked: Great communication before during and after. Easy check in, even though wet didn't arrive until almost 11pm! Exceptionally comfy beds and pillows. Powerful shower. The tea, coffee, granola etc left in our room was a real touch. Very good value for money. Perfect location for us before helping our son move into university halls. This will definitely be our go to places to stay whenever we visit him.
