Good location, clean and comfortable and very good value for money

Liked: Great location. Good communication from hosts. Lockbox worked well with un certain check in and check out times.

Disliked: Lockbox was hanging open when i got there with key on display. It appeared to be broken but i managed to sort it out and lock the key back in there when i left.

Could've been very nice if it was looked after

Liked: The location was good, the room's appearance is very nice at first glance, good WI-FI, good TV, good water in the shower, the place itself would've been very nice if it didn't have the cons I will write about in the next section

Disliked: - Had to pay 150£ extra as a deposit, NOT through Booking.com, to get access to the keys to the apartment, which I was not warned about before the booking, and it felt like a scam. It was later returned to me, but keep this in mind if you book your stay here and you are on a certain budget. - it stank of sewage in the room and smelled like a moist basement in the bathroom. Opening the windows didn't help at all. The cabinet where the cutlery was was the room's smell culprit I believe, that area was reeking as if something died there. - it was dirty, and considering there is a cleaning fee, it's extra enraging. The fridge had 2 green peas laying on the shelf, just 2 of them in a puddle of defrosted water and, of course, it smelled terrible; the dishes had dried-up food chunks on them; there was a chunk of hair on the shower wall; opening/closing the windows would leave you with pitch-black dusty/dirty fingers, I don't think it's ever been cleaned, there was also bird poop streaks on the window, easy enough to reach out and clean; underbed had chunks of dust. - The second window blinds were impossible to put up and open the window because the string was missing, so half the room was always darker, which is a shame as I stayed there for 6 days and the windows are big and beautiful - Didn't have any soap or shampoo, which I would expect to be provided for the price you pay. The only thing there was an extremely watered-down Fairy bottle. - The mattress was super lumpy - If you have a MacBook charger (or any charger that is longer on the bottom side, you won't be able to use a socket by the bed, because it's too close to the framing (?) on the wall and you can't fully plug it in. There is a good socket on the opposite wall by the TV, though.

Overall, it suited our purpose but would not return or recommend

    Liked: Location and size

Disliked: Faulty fixtures and fittings eg shower door, blinds, flooring. Dirty cups and glasses. Mouldy shower cubicle. Tiny bed. Very hot and extremely noisy with windows open. No fans provided (stayed during long heatwave).
