Fabulous
Good hotel
Liked: Very conveniently located
Disliked: All good, although the breakfast could be a little better (the scrambled eggs were very dry for example)
Liked: The staff are friendly and helpful. The view was impressive from my room. And for a city center hotel it was fairly peaceful.
Great location and great staff
Liked: Location was amazing, walking distance to the train station, shopping area and restaurants and bars
Disliked: N/A
Good value stay at a nice hotel
Liked: Great location for exploring the city. Rooms were clean and tidy and a good size. Shower in the rooms was good Bottled water was a nice touch
Disliked: Would have liked a smart tv so i could watch netflix Phone systems were a bit out of date WiFi instruction could have been clearer/able to find
Clearly the rooms need updating
Liked: Good location
Disliked: Very tired rooms
A decent stay soured by poor service
Liked: Comfortable bed, spacious room. Great central location near the railway station. Refreshments in the room's refrigerator were also a nice added touch.
Disliked: Upon arrival, I experienced significant communication difficulties with the receptionist on duty. After a lengthy dialogue during which I was initially informed that my reservation could not be found, the issue was eventually resolved and I was checked in. However, upon entering my assigned room, I observed that it was an accessible room. As I do not require accessible accommodations and had not requested one, I returned to the reception desk to inquire about alternative room availability. The receptionist informed me that the hotel was operating at full capacity and no other rooms were available. Upon subsequently checking the Clayton Hotel website, I discovered that several alternative rooms were, in fact, available for booking at that time. When I returned to the front desk, a different receptionist was present. She handled my query in a polite and professional manner, immediately facilitating a room move without delay. While the replacement room had a limited view and noticeable stains on the carpet, it was nonetheless a notable improvement, and I appreciated the swift resolution provided by the second staff member.
