Very good
Liked: The location
Disliked: Unfriendle receptionist Mold in the bathroom Milk in the breakfast area sour, (outside of fridge on table) Sausages not cooked in the middle Bacon was only lukewarm Porridge oats (green one) smelt off
Royal Cardiff Hotel is definitely a place to stay when you visit Cardiff
Liked: The hotel is located right in the city center and near Cardiff Central Station. Therefore, it is quite convenient and easy to walk to different tourist attractions. Also, the room is nice and cosy with good amenities provided.
Never again!
Liked: The central location and the breakfast were the best things about this hotel
Disliked: I was away with my elderly mum and disabled husband so I always make sure lifts are available at hotel before I booked. On arrival we were allocated rooms on the 4th and 5th floor and the lift was out of order. The 5th floor room was changed to the 3rd but access was very challenging. On entering our room on the 3rd floor the room at first seemed clean however closer inspection found dirt on the floors and mould on the ceilings and down the wall. Having already been told this was the only lower floor room we just accepted our lot. The whole experience ment we were disappointed given the inflated prices as it was marathon weekend.
Date night
Liked: It was just cross the road from the train and bus station, was in the city centre, perfect for shopping going to the theatre, lots of nice places for food and drinks as well.
Disliked: There wasn't anything not to like
Liked: Very good location
Disappointing customer service. Good location
Liked: The bed was comfortable. The location was ideal for the city.
Disliked: Communication. I received an email stating that the hotel would give me a discount code for parking. They would not honour this discount and refused to communicate after several attempts. The hotel feels tired. The carpets in the communal areas are disgusting. The decor needs to be updated and some areas need to be repaired.
