Exceptional
Fabulous stay in a great central Cardiff location
Liked: A beautifully presented property in a great location. The hosts were very proactive, communicative and helpful.
Disliked: There was rubbish waiting to be collected outside which was unpleasant.
Overnight stay with family for football match
Liked: Plenty of space & well equipped
Disliked: Location (too far from Central Cardiff for what we needed really but that's our bad!), bins overflowing outside the front & back of property. Stiflingly hot with just two inadequate fans.
Lovely Hosts, Lovely Home and Lovely Location!
Liked: The hosts were lovely and extremely attentive. The location was wonderful with supermarkets, restaurants, Mermaid Quay all within walking distance. The beds were super comfortable and the place was clean.
Disappointed with the area. Insecure front door. Fire exit to rear of the property was locked
Avoid!
Liked: The house is in a good location to walk to Cardiff Bay.
Disliked: However, the house smells damp when you enter and paint is flaking off the walls in the lounge and downstairs bedroom. Completely unacceptable for an asthma sufferer. There is no window covering/blind in the downstairs shower room. Many of the window locks are broken and the front door does not feel secure. I was advised parking outside would be covered by an online resident permit. I received a traffic warden penalty charge notice (PCN). I contacted the hosts at the time and they advised they would sort it out. A month later, I received postal notification regarding the unpaid PCN at my home address. I contacted the hosts again who ignored me. After calling multiple times, they sent a message to advise they had appealed it. I asked for evidence of the appeal - again, no response. I contacted Cardiff City Council myself with screenshots from the hosts advising they would sort it out. Cardiff council have replied advising the PCN stands and I am liable as the car owner. I have reached out to the hosts again for them to cover this - again no response! I have paid the PCN and do not recommend this property or the hosts. This has been very stressful and I wouldn't want anyone else to suffer the same treatment.
Great stay - great location - great value
Liked: Very clean and well presented. Fantastic location. Very friendly neighbours (when apologised for a little bit of noise the night before!) Very good communication with the hosts
