Liked: Declined to stay, very serious Health & Safety Issues. In the en-suite lighting hanging loose, exposing wiring earthing cables not even attached and taped off, serious failures.the shower tray was covered with black mould, meaning every time you showered you were exposed to spores, very serious. The Hall carpet alone was a health hazard. Unable to find the manager I contacted him by WhatsApp and told him of my concerns, an hour later he told he had rectified the Issues, which would of been Impossible mould spores will survive in the atmosphere without a proper deep clean. I have Informed Trading standards through the correct channels, also the local council about the environmental Issues. I will follow this up with going through the small claims court for breach of contract. I have photos to support everything I have raised concerns about. So before you think about entering Into a contract with this hotel and I use that word very loosely think very carefully.

Liked: Messaged several times leading up to arrival for the code and room number. No response. Upon arrival l rang all numbers listed, again no answer. Then we stumbled across a guy who worked there. Then we tried checking in and he said "Big Problem, your rooms unavailable!!! We had an inspection last week and your room is being used for storage"! He took us down to the room in the basement...it was full of plasterboard x15, an old fridge, large pile of wood, mess everywhere and generally very dirty. Me and my wife just looked as each other in amazement. THEN he give me the option of clearing the room with....for him!!! He said several times he's doing ME a favour asking this!! An absolute joke. Crazy experience. We booked an alternative hotel and left...never to return! Please don't make the same mistake

Liked: Disgraceful hotel, DO NOT BOOK HERE. I received check in instructions on the day which included a whatsapp number for contact. No reply to my message at 2pm when on route to hotel. They hadn't even read the Whatsapp when I arrived at 3pm to check in. When I arrived, I then tried to call for room code for access, no answer. I then messaged again on Whatsapp as per instructions. They didn't read it. I called multiple times for 2 hours with no access to the rooms. So now its 5pm and I'm stood outside with all our bags and no response at all after multiple calls and messages. I reached out to Booking.com, they also couldn't get through to anyone. I managed to get through to a mainline number of someone who manages the hotel chain, she said she would call me straight back. She never called back!! By now its almost 6pm and I had nowhere to stay. I had to use a credit card to secure myself somewhere to stay rather than sleep in the car. I eventually received a message back from the hotel saying sorry they couldn't accommodate me. I am now almost £300 out of pocket which no doubt will take weeks to claim back. To be left stranded with nowhere to stay was stressful and they should be removed from all booking sites. Absolute disgrace
Appalling- needs major work to correct issues
Liked: We had to send ID for check in prior to arriving, they had not even looked at it and then couldn’t get an answer on the phone when we called. Eventually a staff member came and did not identify themselves or apologise for delay. The outside of the building is in need of maintenance and the bed is uncomfortable, feels like a fold out bed. The water pressure is appalling, when another room using the water dribbled out of the shower. The basin tap is connected incorrectly so that hot is cold and cold is hot - this is a safety issue and needs to be addressed. The only good thing is the view

Liked: they clearly don’t know how to clean anything properly since they use bleach for cups and spoons, not dish soap. it’s incredibly unorganised and unprofessional workplace to be in, you can tell the staff here are uncomfortable with the way they do things. if i could give this 0 stars i would. but this is to let everyone know who is staying there to not stay at all. it’s awful and nothing ever gets done. the man that works there is aggressive towards customers and sometimes his workers and is not a nice man. please be careful!! not to mention, there’s mould on the sheets, pillows and mattresses you sleep on.
