Exceptional
Nice friendly staff
Liked: Clean and welcoming
Disliked: Top floor too many flights of stairs. No lifts. Small room and bathroom felt like it was in the bedroom
Great stay we will definitely return
Liked: Staff very friendly nothing to much trouble
Disliked: Stairs lots of them!
Disappointing
Liked: I absolutely love this property, the rooms everything. if you get a big bathtub, it is to die for, but I suggest bringing your own toiletries. The nighttime staff are absolutely amazing and so friendly and actually make the whole stay and are willing to help suit your needs whether that be them going up and down the stairs a few times to get what you need and yet he apologised to me. He was the only one to also recognise me from my previous stay. The breakfast are also amazing the portion sizes are enormous and very well cooked. I love the personal touches in the room also..
Disliked: I found the lady on the phone to be quite rude, she even hung up the phone. When I called back and asked for the manager, she stated she was the manager. So I said I would like to make a complaint as I found her to be quite dismissive, un empathetic, unsympathetic and she told me it was the connection. When I stated the phone call was also recorded on my end she said it was because I said they would get ill which could’ve been the case, no reason to hang up. Then in the morning of this day I was due to check out, I was accused of smoking in the room.. I did not and you can see me walking in and out of the property to go for a smoke and the nighttime staff even saw. I had forgot an item at the property and when I went back and was asked if I had smoked or made roll ups in the room I said no and they stated apparently other visitors had smelt it also.. considering I never smoked and I had stated that it made me very self-conscious when I was already not feeling very well and I suffer with anxiety that is why I booked this place in the first place. The man in the room then stated to me if the manager had come down, I would have been banned well I would like to inform you. I don’t think I will be coming back after this stay. I only stayed because I could not rearrange or get a refund although I was incredibly unwell. I was also dismissed and spoken to very rudely. I was then accused of something that I did not do which made me feel very self-conscious and anxious and to be honest quite upset, especially informing multiple people. I’m not sure if it’s because I am not the normal clientele and I am also seemingly younger but that is what it feels like.
Stayed for work, was nice, with happy staff, will stop there next time
Liked: Modern, clean and quiet, on the sea front,
Too expensive for what it offers and the service given
Liked: The location.
Disliked: We upgraded the bedroom since the one initially given to us was in the basement of the hotel overlooking supposedly the garden, in reality an emergency door and some plants. The bedroom we ended up sleeping was nice and spacious overlooking the sea, but I couldn’t read in bed since the light by the be didn’t work. We woke up and went downstairs for breakfast and the chef was sick so we had to go somewhere else for breakfast. Now I must recuperate my money since it was included in the reservation.
Family break after 4 years
Liked: Very modern unlike others around.
Disliked: Room was very small for a doible, have stayed in bigger single rooms. No lift so had to trek bags up and down Very quiet not much atmosphere, drink selection bad and didnt do food only breakfast.A work in progress i think.
