Exceptional
Lovely relaxing place with the friendliest hosts
Liked: I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Seaview Sactuary. Richard and Katie are the most perfect hosts. Very friendly and helpful, checking regularly that you have everything you need. The house was warm, spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. Location wise was great, not far to walk to the Pier or into town. The bus into town stops opposite and coming back literally outside the door, which was a blessing in the terrible weather during my stay. My room for a single was a great size and had a view over the rooftops to the downs. Water and fresh milk provided in the small in room fridge which was a nice touch. Great to have the option of a continental style breakfast, which was attractively served and delivered to my room. Plenty to eat. I absolutely loved the cake and cookies that were left out each day, they were so delicious a lovely gesture. My favourite was the cherry and coconut biscuit. I will definitely stay again when I next visit Eastbourne, Seaview and Katie and Richard are a great find.
Disliked: Nothing, exceeded expectations.
One of the few places we have stayed where fresh milk was provided and topped up
Liked: A perfect little find, excellent value for money and the nicest hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Sitting on the balcony in the morning, with a sea view, drinking my coffee was priceless
An excellent place to stay: a real gem
Liked: I loved everything about this establishment. The welcome was genuinely warm, the atmosphere great, and the breakfast was beautifully served. The hosts could not have been nicer and my room was a very good size. The location is central but quiet, and I liked the tranquillity.
Disliked: I could not find anything I didn't like, and the room was extremely good value.
Liked: My sister and I were warmly welcomed by Rich and Katie, and after Rich carried our bags upstairs, we were treated to a lovely afternoon tea and homemade cookies and cakes, which was a highlight of each afternoon when returned from our days outing! The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, and it was a delight to sit on the balcony each morning and evening overlooking the sea!
Disliked: Can't think of anything!
Lovely. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing with friendly hosts
Liked: It was very peaceful and relaxing - just what I needed. I had a lovely room with a balcony and I could see the sea from my bed. The hosts Rich and Katie were lovely and welcoming, calm and relaxed. Katie likes to provide her guests with tasty cakes - and I really enjoyed consuming them.
Disliked: I could hear the tenant upstairs early every morning ‘galloping’ across their room! Luckily I didn’t hear them again for the rest of the day.
Relaxing time at the Sanctuary by the sea!
Liked: I didn't have breakfast so can't comment! The room was clean and comfortable with its own balcony to sit on and admire the view of the sea. Table and chairs to do this! The TV actually worked - many places they don't. Richard and Katie, the owners/hosts were very friendly and pleasant. I liked the generous supply of tea and coffee; the home made cakes were an additional bonus. There is a bus stop outside of the property for buses towards Hastings and another one not far across the road for rides into Eastbourne center. It is possible to walk to the town but it takes about 15/20 minutes on the flat; you can walk along the promenade and avoid the traffic!
Disliked: It is on a busy road so there was a fair amount of traffic noise which went down at night. I took ear plugs which helped(but I always take them when away). There are quite steep steps up to the front door and I struggled a bit with my case. If you have mobility issues you may find this accommodation hard to access because of the stairs.
