Liked: Staff and location brilliant. Excellent scheme for car parking. Enjoyed the food. Many thanks to the gentleman who I believe was the manager who was very kind and helpful when I had a "funny turn" on Thursday morning. I am pleased to say that after comprehensive tests at Eastbourne Hospital it was found that there were no serious problems and hopefully it was just a "one off". Once again many thanks.

Disliked: If we visit the Cumberland again we would ask for a larger room. We felt it was on the small side.

Pleasant rooms, lopvely staff, excellent location

Liked: Excellent friendly and very helpful staff. Brilliant location near to pier and buses. Pleasant room with nice sea view.

Disliked: We had a couple of issues in the room which were minor but quite annoying. However, once reported were rectified within 48 hours. 5* for that! On entertainment evenings we couldn't find a quiet place to sut and chat with others, (apart from our room). We are conscious of the fact that this is a seafront hotel and as such, attracts coach parties, who clearly have a great time.

A lovely relaxing place to stay

Liked: lovely sea-view room. Delicious breakfast. The bar also had an outside terrace to enjoy the sea-view over a drink. We were delighted that the staff kindly made covered off-street space available for my husband's electric bike, where he could charge it up as well - accessible step-free too. A great bonus as electric bikes are heavy.

Disliked: Honestly I can't think of anything we didn't like. It was lovely.

Eastbourne is a very good place to visit and full of places to visit in the area. We would definitel

Liked: Breakfast menu excellent, self serve and plenty of good hot food or cold if preferred. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Couldn't wish for better service.

Disliked: Unfortunately the hotel is old. Renovations are in progress and the property is being updated. Where this has been completed, decor and quality is excellent. Upgraded rooms are spacious modern and furnished to a high standard. Whencompleted, the hotel will be tastefully decorated and to a very high standard.
