Exceptional
A charming 1750s cottage
Liked: Very atmospheric historical cottage. Spacious and well set out.
Disliked: Would prefer a larger bed, but was OK
relaxing great location especially the pub at the end of the terrace
Liked: location and coziness the flexibility of the host with check in and check out times and also information when asked about things locally also speed of replies
Disliked: the garden just didn’t work for us with two dogs although to be fair it was pointed out that the garden wasn’t secure we just didn’t realise what an impact that would have the table and chairs at the front of the property was a perfect suntrap for breakfast
Liked: the host was most helpful with everything and kept in contact with us throughout our stay. lovely pub next door were we had our evening meals and we made breakfast in the cottage. its a nice easy walk up to the downs so in all an excellent location and will be returning next year if there's a vacance.
Beautiful cottage in a pretty countryside village
Liked: Exceptionally clean and good facilities.Quiet and peaceful but plenty to do nearby if you need that too.Two great pubs,Thai restaurant,coffee shop and superb countryside minutes away plus the seafront a few miles away. Good free parking, good wi fi and a lovely cosy historical cottage. Thank you!

Excellent stay
Liked: Good location for Eastbourne and the Downs. Good access to cycle routes and useful outhouse for bike storage.
Disliked: Some of the doorways and beams are a bit low (if you’re over 6ft), but should be expected in a period property
Enjoyable stay in a period cottage, clean and well equipped, would definitely stay again
Liked: Great proximity to the downs, clean quaint and quiet.
Disliked: Couldn’t stay long enough!!!
