Good
Liked: Good value for money, the room was not immaculate but for the price it was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent very close to the main street.
Disliked: We had no trouble parking but we saw the lot fill up a few times so could be an issue. Also it was not possible to turn off the heating which made the nights a bit too hot even with the chilly (10C) temperatures outside and the window open. But right below the window was air conditioning and other hotel machinery which made unwelcome noises. Not a deal breaker by any means but this could all have been avoided by giving control over the heating.
Liked: Characterful place and comfortable enough but old room.. Lovely breakfast.. helpful staff..
Quaint, charming but clean and comfortable hotel
Liked: It’s quaint and old fashioned style was very charming but still felt clean and comfortable. We loved the separate pool table room in particular. Great central location for the town centre.
Disliked: Nothing.
Exceptional
Liked: Staff went out of their way to be helpful considerate and friendly. Wentvfor birthday celebration received a gift one from the hotel management and two from the staff quite unexpected. Hotel clean comfortable food excellent buffet breakfast had excellent choices. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was a thoroughly wonderful experience I would certainly stay here again location to town centre only a minutes walk away hotel has good car parking facilities and a,lift.
Disliked: Nothing
Liked: I liked the clean and modest room.
Disliked: It was too hot in the room at night, and there was no way to lower the temperature. Opening the window, on the other hand, made it too noisy, which made a restful sleep impossible.
