Exceptional
Beautiful outlook, lovely compact cabin, good location but a bit pricey!
Liked: Loved the location, beautiful. Lovely cabins, although a little on the small side. Breakfast baskets were superb, but I did not realise we got them everyday! The on site catering was very good and the staff were friendly.
Disliked: Noisy ventilation unit in our bedroom (needs acoustic treatment), not enough cutlery and plates, nobody checked on us the morning after a severe storm! This was disappointing. Our table was smashed and our furniture was thrown into the hot tub! On arrival, we arrived very late due to closed roads. I telephoned and was assured someone would be in the office to attend to us until 11pm (we arrived around 9.30pm). However, nobody was there and we found it difficult to find our cabin. Very few signs. No lights. This was not a great start for us.
Beautiful Location, But Falls Short of Luxury!
Liked: Pros * Clean and well-maintained accommodation. * Beautiful views of the loch in front of the pods, although there is a road between the accommodation and the water. * Stunning mountain views behind the pods. * Surprisingly quiet inside the pod, with good soundproofing despite the road directly in front. * A food truck serving fresh seafood is only a five-minute drive away. * A charming little town nearby, which is great for exploring. * The screen projector is a nice touch. * Everything in the room worked perfectly. * The outdoor bathtub on the patio was a real highlight. * Free access to a nearby sauna was an added bonus.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing and fell far short of what we expected from a luxury accommodation, especially considering the price we paid. We felt completely ignored during check-in and barely saw any staff throughout our stay. We requested a few basic items, but our requests were not even acknowledged or responded to. For a place that markets itself as luxurious, the lack of simple amenities such as drinking water, shower caps, face cloths, cotton buds, tissues, and even a notepad was surprising. Breakfast was very poor and did not meet our expectations. We travelled as a group of three. While the main bed was comfortable, the sofa bed was extremely disappointing. The mattress was so thin that we could feel the metal bed frame underneath, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. Another major issue was the lack of lighting between the parking area and the accommodation pod. It was so dark that we had to use our phone torches to find our way. Additionally, our breakfast was never collected, and the rubbish bin was not emptied during our stay. Overall Seabeds Luxury Lookouts has great potential. The location is excellent, and we used it as a base to explore nearby attractions. The beautiful loch and mountain views, peaceful and well-insulated pods, cleanliness, outdoor bathtub, and nearby facilities are all appealing. However, the poor service, lack of basic amenities, disappointing breakfast, and inadequate attention to guests significantly affected our experience. Luxury is not just about the design or the price tag; it is also about service, comfort, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, those elements were missing during our stay. There is real potential here to become a fantastic accommodation, but much more effort needs to be put into the guest experience before it can truly call itself “luxury”
Liked: Quiet and private
Unique private accommodation w/ wonderful living / stay features
Liked: Unique accommodation with a lot of nice living features (eg, accent lighting, needful kitchen / items for cooking, refrigeration, & food heat up; hot tub, fire pot; deck furniture); quiet & private stay; daily breakfast basket brought to seabed; beautiful views from deck; staff responsive to requests
Disliked: Nighttime driving into private parking area next to seabed was challenging; parking areas marked with large stone markers without reflective features - hazard to cars; roadway also needs reflective markers for nighttime driving; plus need lighted pathway to seabed from parking areas
Peaceful, beautiful and comfortable
Liked: The view of our seabed was beautiful and the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin was excellent. We loved the privacy and relaxation from the space. The staff was friendly and accommodating and made locating and check-in very easy. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
Disliked: N/A - everything was great.
Cool place to stay in Glencoe
Liked: This is an excellent place to stay if you are going to Glencoe. Really unique place that has a boutique vibe to it. The staff was excellent and accommodating during our stay. Get the breakfast basket…fantastic.
Disliked: It’s definitely a steep price point, but if you’re looking for luxury then you’ve found it.
