Irresponsible host, cancelled the booking with<24 h of notice, did not bother to arrange alternative

  Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The host cancelled this reservation with less than 24 hours before traveling to Manchester. They messaged me saying that they had a fault in the property and had to cancel the booking, I explained that I am traveling to sit an exam and it is really frustrating and nerve breaking to start searching for an alternative stay with less than 48 hours before my exam, and I asked if they could provide an alternative stay for me but they declined and said get in touch with booking.com. They did not offer a compensation and did not bother to respond to any of my messages afterwards. To my surprise and to add to the mess, they wanted me to submit a cancellation form and they said that they will then approve it and refund me. This is an irresponsible host who doesn't want to take responsibility for their mistakes and want the cancellations to appear as if coming from the guest and not from the host himself. I don't recommend this host at all and if you are booking with them, you will be risking cancelling all your plans as you will be dealing with a host who doesn't bother about the consequences of cancelling your reservation out of the blue and they will not help to provide an alternative solution.
