  One of the worst stays I’ve had

  Liked: The location is good

  Disliked: I was informed about an hour before (on check in day - Wednesday) that there had been a leak in “one of the bathrooms” the Sunday before and therefore do I want to cancel. I was given the impression that it was the en suite bathroom and the main one was fine. I was given the choice of either cancelling or a refund of 30%. As I was already running late due to a cancelled train I reluctantly had to agree as it was only an hour or so before check in. I did ask them why they had left it ridiculously late. I had another engagement so literally had time to dump my bags and head back out. Upon arrival the lock on the front door of the building doesn’t lock and is open constantly which is a serious security risk. Upon entering the apartment the heat was intense as a heater had been placed in the bathroom (the main) and water was on the floor in the corridor. They had used masking tape to block entry into the bathroom. Now had I known it was the main bathroom I would have thought more seriously. Prob my mistake. Now the issue is I had to wake up my mum who was in the en suite bathroom, overnight several times, as I tend to need to visit the toilet several times a there was a power lead over the corridor which is also a health and safety risk. I would most certainly not want to book this ever again. The cleaner was sent to check the all on Friday and I asked if I could turn the heater in the bathroom off and upon checking she was informed that we had to leave it on. The apartment was WAS WAY TOO HOT. The smell from (I’m guessing) the leak was awful. The mirrors are placed in the incorrect positions and don’t make sense from a user point of view. The main bedroom with the en-suite should also really have a dressing table. The towel Holder in the en suite is pointless as the towel kept falling on the floor. USB points would be helpful. The power extension screwed into the wall in the smaller bedroom was half off when I arrived.

  The value is good, but the cleanliness is not as expected

  Liked: This place is an absolute gem! The location is fantastic, and the check-in and check-out processes are incredibly smooth. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the value for money is unbeatable. Plus, the hosts are incredibly responsive and communicative.

  Disliked: Upon our arrival, our room wasn’t cleaned properly. This was likely due to us having to change rooms last minute because of a reported leak in our original room.

  Liked: It was very spacious, clean and comfortable and in a good position

  Disliked: There was a towel on the floor in the bathroom doorway as there had been a leak from above and we were not advised. This was still dripping when we left.

  Liked: Lovely large apartment in a great location. Sainsbury’s Local nearby as well as Arndale Centre for serious shopping, and loads of great restaurants and bars.

  Disliked: Kitchen could do with more equipment, such as ovenproof dishes and baking trays. Dishwasher would be handy too.

  A lovely little hideaway

  Liked: Great space, comfy bed, central location, nicely decorated and presented.

  Disliked: Bedroom a little snug. Smelt a bit damp on arrival. Could hear neighbours music through the walls.

  Ideal for a stay, clearly a lot of though has been out in to make it as good as possible

  Liked: The location was perfect, really close to what we needed. The flat had great amenities provided with a smart tv and a kitchen fitted out with all we needed. It was also really nice to have the balcony area outside. Our stay there was very smooth and will be looking to stay again!
