Liked: The location was exceptional, and the blend of the historic castle and the surrounding modern new-builds created a unique atmosphere. Everything came together beautifully, giving the hotel a wonderful balance of old world charm and contemporary style.

80th Birthday celebration at the Fonab Castle
Liked: Great location and views, facilities, quality, staff helpful and polite. The hotel arranged a cake for my dad’s birthday. They were also very accommodating and helpful with my mum who is disabled(inc finding a more accessible room). All contributed to a great 80th birthday celebration! Many thanks!

The castle anda bit overstated in their promotion but we had good stay
Liked: Great location and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Wanted a view of the Loch rather than parking lot and hot water for shower was difficult to adjust but other than that the room was good. Although our wait was long, the food was excellent.
Disliked: I didn’t know there was an option to upgrade our view when booked although I had requested a view facing the water. Our rooms faced parking area within the Woodland Lodge extension which a 2 story contemporary structure. Apparently are only 13 rooms within the castle. I booked this several months before I arrival so would have been nice to know more about where we were going to stay within the layout.
Excellent location for my wife’s 60th birthday celebration with very attentive staff
Liked: Breakfast was lovely set in wonderful location overlooking the loch.
Disliked: Access to modern electronic charging facilities.

Disliked: I thought that the lounge area was rather cold and uninviting and disabled access into reception was not ideal
Really disappointed
Liked: Room was great
Disliked: For the star rating and price of the hotel the staff were not up to standard. Restaurant was poor, tables not cleared and the service was definitely not 5 stars. I would have been happy had the cost been around £150-£200 but it was significantly higher more than double. Very disappointing as we had been looking g forward to this for sometime.
