  A great stay in a very friendly guest house with a great location

  Liked: The property was very clean and warm. The welcome was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar which was very relaxed. The location was a 10 minute walk from Old Portsmouth. A great location.

  Disliked: There is nothing not to like. I can’t think of anything worth mentioning.

  Great stay

  Liked: Great location. Really friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room with some nautical touches. Nice breakfast. On street parking close by.

  Good location, excellent staff that are a credit to the establishment

  Liked: Location was great, as we had an early morning trip on the Hovercraft. Room was as compact as we expected (we booked the small double), but fine for two people for just one night. Wet-room en suite was fine, with a hot powerful shower and products. The lighting options for the room were great too, with the option of softer lights instead of garish overhead ones. The stand-out for this place was the brilliant, friendly staff both at check in, and during breakfast. They made us feel exceptionally welcome. And the breakfast itself was great too. We would choose to stay here again during low season as I imagine the bar gets quite loud and busy during the summer! Overall it was nearly perfect for our stay.

  Disliked: There was a party going on until fairly late on our Sunday night stay, and the soundproofing to the rooms isn't good enough, but the accommodation is above a bar so you sort of have to expect this. Noise from other guests moving around the floors was very noticeable. Parking is expensive in the entire area of Portsmouth so don't forget to factor this in when budgeting for your stay here as there is no carpark for guests.
