Receptionist on site and the room wasn't the one I booked. But the location is near the seaside

Disliked: Therere was no receptionist to assist with any problems with the room. There should be a receptionist on site. The room we were given, wasn't the one we booked.

  A health hazard

Liked: The staff were very responsive and accommodating. Upon complaining about the state of the apartment and lack of promised facilities, we were offered £15 to cover laundry services for our stay and the option of a full refund for the remainder of our stay should we decide to check out early.

Disliked: When we arrived, there was a heavy stench of cigarette smoke. Me and my husband woke up with blocked sinuses and persistent coughs. Many of my clothes needed to be washed after leaving the place just to get the cigarette smoke smell out of them. All the kitchen equipment and stovetop was so dirty, it needed to be soaked/scrubbed in hot water and soap for a long while by us, the guests. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable to sit on since they were damaged into an uncomfortable position from overuse. The shower did not work properly, changing temperature from really cold to really hot even when kept on the same setting for a long time. The washing machine had tubes missing, so was unusable. Little insects were crawling around all the furniture. I asked the property whether they would be willing to fix some of the problems, but I was instead told that the apartment has been being rented out for about two years now and nobody has ever complained about it. I was then provided with the option of leaving with a full refund for any nights not stayed which I gladly took as soon as me and my husband could find alternative accommodation.

  Good

Liked: Very convenient location, all facilities that I needed for an overnight stay. Parking right next to the property. Clean and reasonably well equipped.

Disliked: The whole building smelled damp (it’s not just the studio).
