  Lovely stay in a historic guesthouse

  Liked: Lovely guesthouse in Central Portsmouth, room was large and extremely comfortable with a huge bathroom. The decor had lots of thought gone into it and in keeping with such an old and interesting building. Had a lovely evening in the bar talking to the barman and guests, nice continental breakfast. A short walk from the historic dockyard and Southsea. Shame we were only there for 1 night!

  Fabulous

  Liked: I loved the historic property- the old world pub, interesting decor, a great room, and friendly staff. Alex at the bar was a fabulous host and I felt very welcome. Ian was lovely too and treated me to a lovely breakfast

  Perfect bank holiday in Portsmouth

  Liked: We arrived straight from the ferry at 7.30am and the guy very very kindly let us check into our room. The staff couldn’t have been more considerate and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hotel has been thoughtfully restored to an amazing standard. Place was spotless and bed very comfortable

  Wonderful stop near many of the Royal Navy’s historic museums and less than 10 minute ride to the cruise terminal

  Liked: The history and garden are both spectacular. Alex and Ian were both very charming and informative. They gave us a top tip for our flow on visit to Edinburgh (the Dome) and that is where I write this review from with a pint of hawk stone.

  Disliked: Our room had a bathtub only for bathing that was located in the same room as the bed. We had no issues with this but it could get interesting depending on your travel partner.
