Overall great all the fmaily enjoyed and we had everything we needed and great price
Liked: Brilliant location you could see the Whitby Abby from the parking lot. Lovely quite location very clean and also close to a lovely resturant down the hill, lovely walks around. Nice touch was the welcome basket with a few treat in to enjoy the stay, very cosy.
Disliked: it was all good, the road up was a little uneven but was told before hand so was prepared.
Quaint Grosmont Cottage
Liked: We loved the location, & the cottage is quaint, with lots of character. Close to the village & local garden centre/coffee shop, lovely to visit & sit by the river!
Disliked: The hanging space in the bedrooms wasn't very sturdy, & would probably be better with wardrobes! The cupboard space in the kitchen is minimal, we had to put dry food on the worktop.
Liked: Great view of the abbey on the far cliff. Remote, quiet and peaceful Nice layout of rooms
Disliked: Just all felt very tired and patched over. WiFi was very patchy which was a bit annoying for the television....but great that the television had access to all streaming platforms. Shower was extremely basic and took a while to rinse out hair etc.. Everything was fine but just no feeling of luxury or indulgent relaxation.
Peaceful stay in a cosy cottage in a quiet location
Liked: Comfy beds, cosy and clean. Plenty of parking space and peaceful.
Disliked: The only downside was the steep and rather rough track up to the complex of cottages.
