Lovely - maybe for shorter people?
Liked: Really clean - brilliant location. Comfortable.
Disliked: The beams are quite low over the bed - about 5 ft so you really need to be careful not to crack your head. The step between the room and the sitting area - hard to navigate in the night when needing the toilet.
Centrally located perfect for exploring Whiby, with high quality room
Liked: Sanders Yard was an excellent place to stay for two people who hadn't yet been to Whitby and wanted to explore. We stayed for two nights, and easily could have stayed for longer. The location was a standout feature, as it was in the centre of town on a mainly pedestrian street with lots of pubs and cafes on its doorstep. However, given it was in an alley off a main road, it was nice and quiet at night. We parked our rental car in the Abbey car park the whole visit, but were able to pull the car up to the alleyway entry at the end of our stay to load the luggage, which was a helpful bonus. The quality of the facility was superb and the photos didn't do it justice. The bathroom was clean and had a waterfall shower head, which was welcome after a couple of big walks and staying in hostels. The bed and room were both big, and there were teas and coffees supplied. My only tip would be there wasn't ample clothes hanging space, but that wasn't a problem for our trip. Finally, and most importantly, the owners were very helpful and responsive. I have been to self check-in accommodations where the owner never responds and you have no idea who to contact if you have any questions or need recommendations. This was not the case here. We had all the information we needed and I knew if I reached out to the owners, they would respond in a timely and helpful way.

Disliked: Just missed having a chair to sit on rather than just the bed
Liked: Absolutely loved the room. Clean and spacious. If I were to say anything, but only from a personal view, there wasn’t a full mirror. But saying that, loved everything. Will book again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
