Fabulous
An experience that you would think was made up!!!
Liked: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!
Disliked: Upon arrival we were hit by the most disgusting smell, smoke, dirty carpet, wet dog smell! Yes we brought our dog and chose a pet friendly place and agree on wet days you can’t help muddy paws however a carpet cleaner every few weeks could help this! Upon checking the first bed which our children were going to sleep in we discovered these hadn’t been changed, very clearly! The bottom sheets had what looked like semen in spots all over, animal fur, human hair etc. (see pics) took the duvet cover off which seemed better to maybe lay on the mattress and to our horror smelly soaked urine stains all over the duvet 🤢We rang the owner who said he would send a cleaner immediately. We were happy to leave it at that. But it doesn’t end… We retuned from our meal, nothing had been done! Rang the owner and explained this, his answer was “what the fu&k do you want me to do about it” when telling him it was a disgrace that we had paid £200 for this, he asked if I had been drinking?! The answer was no but what the hell has that got to do with wanting clean bedding? … His attitude was disgusting. After being told how down right rude he was he told us we would receive a refund. Still no refund, sent a message his reply…. “Who do you think you are?” I am about to post this on every Windermere page I can find because I am absolutely disgusted how we have been treated. The towels stank of smoke and were damp, the place was dusty and dirty, there were dirty clothes in the wardrobe. Safe to say we left very sharpish with our skin crawling. Awaiting a refund.
Absolutely terrible I would not recomeend anybody to stay in the apartment

Disliked: The shower was broken and we were unable to shower having been out walking on the fells all day on a very hot day this was a problem. Having deceived to use the bath instead we then found that the bath plug was broken and we could not use the bath. The final straw was that there was no plug in the bathroom sink so we could not even fill the sink to wash. The advert said there were 4 car parking spaces but there were none. When we rang the owner he simply told us to park in spaces that were marked as being for the retail units. We contacted the owner regarding the above issues and requested a refund but did not receive any help and have not received a refund.

For the price I paid I expected more, very disappointed

Disliked: Incorrect information given regarding access, apartment is at the top of several flights of stairs not a few steps as we were told, also communal staircase is dirty so very poor first impression. Apartment is not exactly dirty but could do with a spring clean. Food from previous visitors left in cupboard and freezer and dozens of half empty shampoo bottles left in bathroom. Fan left on for arrival as it was very warm but fan was caked in dirt so it was blowing dust into the atmosphere.
