Fabulous
Meh…I’ll do it differently next time
Liked: The views and the cottage in the woods concept
Disliked: STAIRS! No lift so I had to haul my heavy suitcase up a long flight of stairs into my cabin. It is a mile walk into downtown Ambleside, not sure how often buses go there, it’s an hour bus ride from Ambleside to Keswick and another hour bus ride to Buttermere Lake…restaurants don’t deliver so if you had no car nor food, you’re gonna starve unless you were rich and just over into town and back.. The bed was super lopsided, my blanket kept falling to the floor and I found myself almost rolling off the bed
Liked: Cumbrian countryside
Disliked: Spartan
Excellent night. Will definitely use again in the future
Liked: Great location. Nice views. Pleasant grounds. Nice roomy bathroom with walk in shower. Only stayed one night so didn’t actually use it. Comfy easy chairs by the picture windows. Cold when we arrived but central heating really good. Comfy beds. Good easy TV. Helpful staff at reception.
Disliked: Floor was a bit slippery in stockinged feet. Beware.
Trust in Brathay
Liked: Glorious grounds in a splendid setting. Proximity to Ambleside is extremely convenient - a beautiful walk away. The view from the room was breathtaking. Staff here are warm, kind & knowledgeable.
Disliked: Unclear booking process. Do not overpay for a family with kids - if in doubt, ring the property to ensure you're paying the correct rate.
Fab location. Spacious room. Would stay again
Liked: Spacious room. Great views and location. Easy check in and out process.
Disliked: Bathroom needs some work doing to it (old fashioned and needs re-grouting). Wish we could have had a cooked breakfast.
Great find in the countryside supporting excellent charity. We will be back!
Liked: Location and rooms perfect in beautiful countryside and delighted to support the worthwhile charity.
Disliked: Nothing
