  A home from home

Liked: Stunning location, delicious choice of breakfast with the best view! Perfect spot for competitors of THE LAP and also for folks looking for easy access to Beatrix Potter's House. The ferry across to Bowness is within comfortable walking distance. Hawkshead not far and Coniston is close by car, loved visiting Coniston museum for Bluebird and much more. Scenery ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Disliked: Leaving, would have loved to have stayed longer

  Lovely guest house, near Hawkshead

Liked: Lovely position. Helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Nice lounge area to relax.

Disliked: Is quite remote, so you need a car and be prepared to drive tight lanes in the dark if going out for dinner (which you have to!)

Disliked: Only one member of staff doing everything check in breakfast cleaning room not cleaned properly clothes left in drawers and dirty tissues shower over bath not suitable for elderly people to use I thought it was overpriced for what you get a large hotel but one member of staff to look after everyone poor lad didn’t live up to our expectations as we have stayed in sawrey many times
