  Food and staff where lovely

  Liked: Food was excellent and staff were lovely

  Disliked: Was on the understanding we had booked to stay in the Angel Inn itself rather than their 4 storey annex building Oakhouse located over the road.

  Lovely hotel. Be aware some rooms in basement and can’t open window

  Liked: The Angel Inn itself was beautiful, staff very helpful. We had drink and food here along with breakfast. All very good. Location fantastic.

  Disliked: We were not in the actual hotel as expected. We were told we were in building across the roads which wasn’t expected but it was close so didn’t have any concerns. However, we were in the basement. It was dark and not very pleasant at all. We couldn’t reach the small window at the top of room. The family room was in two parts. The bunkbed area has no windows at all. The room was too warm which radiators on but we needed them to dry the wet clothing. Being in the basement meant the TV and internet didn’t work very well at times also. I think when booking we should have been told by booking.com or the hotel itself that we would be in a basement room. Sadly it did impact our stay.

Please note rooms accommodating pets may be limited. Guests who wish to travel with pets are advised to inform the property in advance. There is a GBP 15 per pet, per night extra charge.

Please note that bedrooms booked in the Annex are situated across the road in the Oakbank House and are accessed via steps.

When booking five or more rooms, group terms and conditions are applied to your reservation. A 10% non-refundable deposit is taken at time of booking and full payment and rooming list are required six weeks prior to your arrival. These terms replace any other booking policies agreed with online travel agents.
