  The wonderful Lakehouse at the Waterhead

  Liked: The room was very comfortable, spacious and very well presented. The view of the lake made it special. The staff were great and so friendly. The breakfast was delicious, as was the evening meal.

  Love this hotel and area.Makes you feel special

  Liked: Breakfast was changed from help yourself to table order which was much more relaxing and very well run.It was in the main hotel bar area and its a beautiful building.

  Excellent Weekend

  Liked: Excellent location on the lake and a 10 minute walk into the village, room was spacious, clean and had all the necessary facilities needed. Great choice at breakfast including buffet style and cooked served to order. Staff were really friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.

  Nice quiet location, did the job

  Liked: The restaurant was very good, food great, lovely setting, The bedroom and bathroom were very well heated, very clean and tea,coffee, etc were plenty. Very quiet location. Free parking is a bonus.

  Disliked: Our room was adeqate but i think it was the smallest, the shower was not working properly could not get a hot shower plenty of hot water for a bath but not comong out of the shower. The rooms were separate to the hotel and locating the room was difficult no proper signage for room numbers had to wander around a bit to locate our room.

Good to know

Please note that The Lake House Rooms at The Waterhead Inn is an old Victorian building with no lift. If guests smoke in the rooms, they may be charged one night's accommodation as a penalty.

Upon arrival, guests need to check in at The Waterhead Inn before making their way to their room within the Lake House building. The Lakehouse is an annex building across the road from The Waterhead Inn and access is via an incline. Check-in alongside breakfast is in the main Waterhead Inn building which is located across the road at the bottom of the incline.

Guests arriving after 20:00 are requested to inform the property prior to arrival. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. It may not be possible to accommodate guests in the same room for each consecutive night of their stay.

Pet-friendly rooms are limited, so please check availability prior to booking. A GBP 15 fee per pet per night applies, and guests are required to inform the property in advance.

Please note that if you require assistance setting up a twin bed, please request this via the Special Requests box during booking. Please note that all special requests are subject to availability.

Please note that for group bookings (5 or more rooms), a non-refundable prepayment of 10% of the full amount is required at time of booking.
