  Having never visited the Lakes we would definitely return

  Liked: Excellent location. Very clean & staff approachable & friendly.

  Disliked: I had 2 bank cards hacked during my stay and I believe it happened during my stay. My cards were left in my laptop bag and whilst I am not certain I believe that they were hacked. Still investigating as I only discovered yesterday.

  Liked: Location great.. bar was cosy the weather wasn’t on our side so we sat in the bar a few hours it was lovely.. we didn’t have food as we’d already eaten but what we saw coming out looked delicious.. it was busy and the girl behind the bar was lovely.. great at multi tasking as it so busy and guests were arriving, customers needed serving for drinks and food orders she did it all.... I do think another member of staff behind the bar is needed she was run off her feet..

  Liked: The location was spot on near to the lake. The room was reasonable for the price, great bed and decor, although a little small, with plenty of tea and biscuits available.

  Disliked: After driving for an hour through a storm we weren't greeted warmly with a smile and a welcoming hello, we were asked if we'd parked correctly, told we were too early for our room, and reluctantly given a table for lunch, we knew we were early as we also knew the parking was tight and that they served food because it was all in the email. We had lunch, a pub curry, bland and Sunday half roast chicken with frozen veg and precooked tough chicken. 5 minutes early for breakfast I said good morning with the reply the doors locked because they haven't finished setting up yet, only for the door to be unlocked a minute later. A reasonable breakfast apart from being served burnt, scraped toast.
