  Fantastic value for money. Friendly & professional staff & room was spotless

  Liked: Lovely old school period property. Comfortable furniture & great relaxing atmosphere. Room was spotless with fantastic views over lake Windermere.

  Overall a very pleasant stay

  Liked: The hotel had lots of character. We loved the indoor pool. Room was a decent size. Breakfast was excellent! Staff were excellent, particularly reception staff!

  Disliked: The bed wasn't comfy. I didn't sleep very well. We ate at the restaurant for dinner but it wasn't the best food we've had. As there was a storm we were glad that there was a restaurant onsite at least. Bathroom could do with an update.

  Liked: Staff very polite and accommodating. views and scenery was beautiful. good breakfast options. free parking. loads of information maps and posters on what's available locally on things to do, loads of options.

  great for a family stay

  Liked: kids loved the swimming pool and the room was big and spacious. Setting was lovely with views over the lake

  We always love staying at this hotel and usually eat out due to the weather we decided to eat in what a big mistake that

  Liked: The pool for the grandchildren the breakfast is also spot on this is our fifth time staying at the Windermere manor.

  Disliked: We booked to eat in on Sunday evening my 15 year old grandson could have put better food on the plate. We were advised beforehand by other guests not to bother with the roast dinner for the price it was dreadful we chose an alternative to the Sunday roast and the food was disgusting for the price paid. Had to send it back I reported my disappointment when checking out. I was advised the menu was being changed it’s not about the menu it’s about who’s cooking it. However, the breakfast is great. If it wasn’t for the pool we would consider alternative accommodation.

Our elevator is currently out of order and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. All accessible rooms are located on the Ground Floor but we understand that this may impact guests in other rooms. Please feel free to contact us to discuss if you believe this will impact your stay.

Any guests requiring dinner must pre-book a table to avoid disappointment.

Dogs are permitted and a charge of £20 per dog per night applies, payable at the hotel.

A credit or debit card will be requested at check-in to preauthorize charges up to £100. If requested, ID must be presented at check-in.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
