Good
Liked: Gorgeous location and cozy hotel! Easy to access by bus/walk/scooter from town. Scenery is stunning and breakfast was AMAZING!
Liked: It’s a little bit difficult to find out. But it’s beautiful in the evening.Hotel is old but the owner is very kindly.
Would recommend if you're looking for a budget friendly stay!
Liked: The room was small but you had a closet for clothes if need be. It was functional! Large terrace in comparison to the room, neatly fenced off so I was able to sleep with the window open (my dogs could go outside as they pleased). This terrace also offered a wonderful view on Innsbruck! Breakfast was very diverse: lots of options, also fresh fruits and nice cheeses. Price wise I think this was unbeatable. Paid €18 as a supplement for my dogs. Location wise: between the city and the mountain. Unfortunately my stay was short but from what I could tell this is a good location of you want to combine city tripping with hikes.
Disliked: There was a faint smell of cigarettes in the hallway. Only one toilet for the hallway, of which the door lock marked red while it was actually free. That led to a bit of waiting for nothing. Would be nice to be able to wash your hands in the toilet space (now you have to head back to the room - keep that in mind before handing in your room key). The walls are quite thin indeed but this was no real issue during my stay here. Doable to walk to the city (do be mindful that you have to walk on the road for a bit). Heading back up to the hotel is quite the D+ so take that into account. I did spot quite a few bus stops, so that might be a good option too!
Liked: Everything
Just what I needed and expected
Liked: Accessible price. Quiet location just at the edge of the city, on a slope of a hill with a nice view, yet still well accessible by public city buses. I liked the "welcome card" provided with the stay: It offered free public transport in the city and gave some discounts and recommendations (though an app) for various cultural events and tourist places etc., though I could only use it for the city buses myself for a lack of free time (I traveled for work).
Disliked: No problem for me, actually. The warm water in the shower seemed to be not really warm in the first two days out of my one week stay, but I visited during exceptionally warm summer days, so I did not really care. I might have missed more power sockets (only one socket in the room itself and one in the bathroom) if I had to share the room with an other person, but as I was alone, the one socket was just enough to charge my devices.
The property is very over priced!
Liked: The view from the beer garden at the property was outstanding and lovely to see over the whole city. And the free parking is a big plus. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about the property
Disliked: I think the property was hugely over priced!! The location isn’t great, it is only a 20 min bus ride out to the city centre. You can walk it - which I tried - but the walk is pretty treacherous. The hotel itself it’s quite old fashioned and could do with a freshen up. The breakfast wasn’t great with not a lot of choice. I had a single room which was in diar need of a refurbishment. The bed wasn’t very comfy, the bathroom was like something from the space odyssey. And it wasn’t very clean with mould around the grouting and on the shower curtain. And the water didn’t drain away after a shower, or it did but incredibly slowly. Following this there was a terrible smell afterwards. Lastly, the WiFi didn’t work in my room. I’m not if it was just the location of my room but it would t stay connected
